This is lovely. We can’t, sadly, do without the arrows that pierce… but it helps to better appreciate the beautiy, don’t you think?
Thanks for your comment, Dale, about the arrows helping us appreciate beauty. I think so, too.
Of course you do!
And I reread the quote at the top of your blog. It’s a lovely choice!
Glad you like it. I always like your responses, Dale.
I love the exchanges we have. Hope your Saturday is lovely!
❤
I love all these words
Thank you, Rose. Your words give me a welcome boost.
Not the same here without you 🙂
you’re welcome
Thanks, Rose. I haven’t given up on getting back to regular writing.
Yayyy!
Lovely words if thought provoking. We often have so much to share with family but dont always get the chance x
Thanks, Alison. I miss chances to talk with family., too, and treasure the times we talk even more.
Those arrows are the challenges, but in the stoic tradition they are where we can find those precious opportunities 🙂 And keeping with this thought and my latest thinking (and post) you write the following lines which I admire greatly: “Bowls full of memories to pass on to family, Paint brushes for drawing a glorious sunset, Context for souls to love all creation” Yes indeed!
I am being filled with joy reading your responses more and more as I read down the screen. I keep feeling stuck because I don’t write much anymore. Maybe less is really more, indeed.
It was almost one year between posts, and it surprised me at the time that had past ~ and it is strange when you’ve haven’t written for a while how that feeling of ‘getting stuck’ just makes it harder. But then again, I didn’t mind it either, so there may be truth to less is more 🙂
Your writing didn’t lose any of its power and charm during your sabbatical.
Lovely.. The positive resounds!
Many thanks, Resa. ❤
