Let me help you, Ina.
Here is how you can use Classic:
Open your WP, click on your face (or whatever image you use) in the circle at the top right in the black or dark blue bar. Right beside the bell.
Once you have clicked there, it will bring you to your profile. On the left side, choose account settings.
Scroll down until you get to Interface settings and there is a slide bar under Dashboard Settings. Click on that, go below the colour options and save.
Then, you will have the same admin page as before. Just like the last time when they pulled this nonsense! You can then click on posts and then add new and choose classic. 😁

I suggest when you do find that admin page, you save it as a favourite!
Dale, thank you so much. I tried for a while but couldn’t get to the Admin page. I have an idea what the problem is and I caused that years ago . If I get nowhere tomorrow I’ll get back to you or call my computer guy. My tech skills are close to zero. 😦
I tried again and the word administrator is at the top of the page. I saved it. ??? Did I get there?
I miss the classic editor so much!!! I wish there was a way to undo the update
