In this strange and fearful time
My world turned upon its head
Rubber gloves high fashion statement
Toilet paper in great demand
Afraid of germ’s habitation
I harbor mail and cardboard boxes
Consigned to time in spare bathtub
For period of quarantine
Yet life goes on
In hall outside of my apartment
Sounds of ripping old wall paper
Redecoration still in progress
Beauty not to be deterred
Today I hear construction noises
Workers replace old swimming pool
Oak tree outside my window’s promise
Blossoming in tiny buds
That Spring will come
I had to smile at the thought of people ripping off wallpaper … in my imagination it’s because they’ve run out of toilet paper!!!
Your idea that they were tearing off wall paper because they had run out of toilet paper made me laugh out loud. Your comment absolutely made my day!! ๐
Yay! keep safe, keep sane! x
You ,too. I love that your comment answered the title of my post and made it funny. Nothing like teamwork.
I had the same thought at Hidden Edge!
And life will, eventually, return to a new normal, hopefully with kinder, more understanding people…
Thanks, Dale.I think we will have a positive new normal someday. I love that you and HIdden Edge made my post funny by what you saw in it. Nothing like camaraderie.
Absolutely!
Yes. The benefits of blogging.
I agree.
Love it, cheered me no end . Thank you!
Bill, I’m happy I could bring cheer to you. I’m glad the WordPress is having a daily prompt all of April. It gives me something to look forward to. ๐
Good! I donโt follow the prompt, perhaps I should have a look.
The information came in an email from Word Press yesterday. I can forward it to you if you are interested and want to give me your email address.
Thank you, itโs bill@bisgood.co.uk
Bill thanks for passing on your email address. Check your email for the information on Word Press Prompts. I found your email address on your post and sent it to you .My email address is odd. It is inathreeh@aol.com.
Thank you. I donโt normally do prompts but I’ll give it a go.
I haven’t been doing prompts, either. In this time of sheltering at home I think it wall be a creative past time.
Yes spring is coming despite our changed circumstances! Stay safe Ina.
Yes, Andrea. Spring is coming fast. Today I can see buds on the trees and I have my windows open to catch the breeze. Take care.
Fried or baked toilet paper is delicious. ๐
Take care! Be well!
Love your take on this!!
