Changes are daunting
Signs of aging surround me
Not for faint of heart
Surprises yet charm
Emanating from strangers
Delight and joy
Days that begin grey
May hold moments of newness
I’m not giving up
Changes are daunting
Signs of aging surround me
Not for faint of heart
Surprises yet charm
Emanating from strangers
Delight and joy
Days that begin grey
May hold moments of newness
I’m not giving up

I too am aging and change while inevitable is difficult to cope with sometimes.
Yes. It is a challenge. I just talked to my son whose son is going back to college today. He said he and his wife are realizing he may never live in their house again on a permanent basis. As aging folk we have been preparing for changes all along. ❤
I’m glad to hear you’re not giving up Ina, you do have a talent for seeing the positive things even when things seem grey.
Thanks, Andrea.
Keep hope. I always love reading Emily’s poem when I’m feeling a little lost. I also love reading yours.
Thank you, Alison. Your recent post reminded me of this poem.
Yes, like Andrea, I am very glad you are not giving up!
Aging is definitely not for the faint of heart!
Thanks, Dale. ❤
Your not giving up inspires me to do the same…
I am glad it does. Thanks for letting me know. I’ll have to write about some interesting people I encounter walking to the grocery with my shopping cart now that I no longer drive.
That is a hard one to give up. You are my second friend now going through that. I look forward to those stories!
Thanks, Rose. It is hard but an interesting transition.
Bette Davis said “Old age is no place for sissies.” I think you’ve conveyed a similar thought in a much nicer way!
Thank you. ❤
Good! Keep poeting
Thanks for your encouragement. 🙂
