I walk with a cane
Hiking staff put to new use
I like style and flair
Chic has its limits
No disguising poor balance
I sought therapy
Baby steps trained me
I’m a whiz on the gym floor
A wimp out-of-doors
Summoned my courage
Planned to navigate sidewalk
Leading home from church
Tucked cane under arm
Walked just like I remembered
Arrived unafraid
Well done.
Many thanks. 🙂
Wonderful!!
Thanks, Dale.
Kudos, Viv. Next week you’ll be dancing with your cane like Gene Kelly!
Thanks, Janet. That would be the cherry on the top.
I love the power in this Ina, well done to you 🙂
Thanks, Andrea. I’m happy you see power in this.
Nice one Ina! Glad to hear you got your stride back, and glad you rendered the story of it in haiku form for us to enjoy with you.
Thanks for your good wishes. Glad you like my haiku form. 🙂
Unafraid!
Thanks and blessings on you. ❤
Wonderful! You are one of my role models.
Thanks, Kate. Glad I can share my experience with you.
“Old age is no place for sissies.” Bette Davis and I are right there with you!
Thanks. Glad you are on this journey, too.
Perfect.
Thanks, Resa.
