Holidays over
Return of reality
Time for stock-taking
People-filled moments
Exciting rich nourishment
Stuffed me to bursting
Moorings abandoned
Flying carpet crash-landed
Lost touch with myself
Crave balm of silence
Time for quiet introspection
Awaiting my words
Love this, yes time for quiet is so true!
Thanks, Lynn.
I know where you are coming from. Fine words.
Thanks, Mike.
I like the magic carpet crash landing–totally get that.
If I dont’ have my me time, I’m no good for anyone
Like your comment. Thanks. π
You and me, Girl. I tell ‘ya. Our Christmas is still up although the hustle is over. The decorations in our house stay up until Epiphany, and then it is really and suddenly dark in our house. But next week, son Stephen returns to teaching, the week after husband Cliff, and then, then….then the house will be quiet. I love my boys…..
Enjoy your boys. Having them around is “decoration ” enough to your home.
Excellent words and thoughts
Thanks. π
Bravo! I also loved your “magic carpet crash landing.”
Thanks, Susan.
