Haiku: Christmas Passage

on December 27, 2017

Spruce tree’s woodsy scent
Bright colored lights a-dazzle
Kitchen smells wafting

Wrapped in bright paper
Gifts mysterious wonder
Await awed children

Soon it is over
Scraps of paper attesting
Dinner digesting
