Haiku: Medium of Exchange

on November 29, 2017

White plume of airplane
Rising high in a blue sky
Great day to travel

I have known such days
Packed with joyful adventure
Cup filled to the brim

Now I sip coffee
Watching flights from my window
Filled with gratitude

For about twenty years I went to lots of road-less-traveled places. My last such trip was to Cuba in 2012. Now I stay close to home and find new things I never noticed or appreciated before. I watch.

    Eric

  7. The past and the present are beautiful and that is what I feel from this lovely piece. Everything has its time and place and gratitude should be given. Lovely

Many benefits of aging are obliquely referenced here, at least in my mind. Clearly you are making the most of them!
