Yes! The ” less is more” is becoming my mantra. Need a slow pace without pressure as much as possible. Having fun and being with people used to energize me. Not very much anymore. Even being with my dearest friends enjoying lunch and laughter often leaves me happy, but exhausted. Everything in me protests this, but reality has reared it’s ugly head. 🙂
This is a sign for you to embrace the “middle path” where indulgence or abstinence does not perturb the Heaven within your immortal soul Atma.
Lovely idea of balance.
Balance is all there is, if one is to attain that inner liberation that is coveted by a many.
I’ve found this to be true for me also. I made the decision not to go to the “first ever over 65 cousins’ reunion” because that is what I wanted to do. I allowed myself to put myself first and not worry about meeting the expectations of others. My family, of course, does support me.
Sounds good, time to relax!
Yes, Lynn. It is delightful.
Enjoy your time 🙂
Thanks, Bill. I’m the one who surprised myself by cancelling because I haven’t recovered from the last family reunion a month ago. It feels great to have no airplane tickets in the drawer where I keep travel plans and my passport.
These family affairs are often stressful, I find, nothing to do with the people involved, just the ‘doing’ of it all, Sounds like you need some ‘me’ time.
Yes, that is my feeling about family events. I do need “me” time. Thanks.
You’re welcome 😊
A great Haiku pointing to the Truth inside of you, where Eternal bliss abides.
Thanks for your gracious comment.
Thank you too for the beautiful haiku. Japanese used haiku’s in the ancient times to educate on self Realization.
Thanks. I have found that expressing my experiemnce or thoughts in 17 syllables gives me focus.
Focus is the currency that the cosmos perceives of those who seek the Inexhaustible Reality with unrelenting sincerity.
I do it all the time now, especially on my side. Enjoy that free time, loved the haiku!
Belated thanks, Mick. I just discovered your comment of 09/03/2017
Thanks, Mick. Happy snoozing.
Enjoy the down time, till you get “antsy”, or wanderlust, again!
Right now I am wallowing in having an open-ended existence. —Untill?
Yes, sometimes – less is indeed more .
Yes. Thanks, Eric.
A Haiku being the perfect form for “less is more”! I hope you enjoy every quiet moment!
Thanks for your nice comment. Those moments re-energize me.
