The sand has its own challenge
I found as I sat in my chair
Low to the ground and comfy
Not so when it’s time to arise
My legs do not work in close quarters
Needing more distance to stand
I dug with my heels like a turtle
And carved a big hole in the sand
I rocked forward a few times
Until I was almost launched
Caught my balance and stood up
A bona fide victor at last.
LOL, you’ve captured that moment of victory!
Thanks. It was worth the struggle. š
I imagine so!
Wow you did it! I can see and feel this and understand it all to well!
Thanks, Lynn. I’m glad you could feel what I was trying to say.
I loved this! And laughed in recognition.
Thanks, Janet. A new dawning for vintage-aged people. I’m discovering the fascinating world of fellow wheelchair users at airports. Our numbers increase.
oh how I understand – I must use power-lift chair that lifts me to a standing position
Yes, and I depend on my walking stick and rollator walker to take the place of balance.
I cheered for your victory in the end Ina š
Thanks, Andrea! ā¤
I was smiling as I read the end š
Thanks, Christy. I was smiling when I finally got out of that chair. š
Indeed it can be hard to get off the ground sometimes.
Oh yes! š
