Sometimes everything has to be enscribed across the heavens so you can find the one line already written inside you. Sometimes it takes a great sky to find that small, bright, and indescribable wedge of freedom in your own heart. David Whyte

Haiku: Breakfast Story

on August 17, 2016

Day did not start well
Flipped egg uneasy over
Landed on stove top

Cooked there anyway
Toast unattended burned some
Salted all and ate.

  1. One of those days, great haiku

  2. This gave me an out loud laugh. Thank you. It sounds like something I would do.

I couldn’t believe what I had done. I learned something though. I coated the skillet with Pam which naturally coated the egg that made its cooking on the stove top easy. Clean-up was a breeze. Thanks for sharing my laugh.

  4. We laugh so we don’t cry. Onward and upward, right?

  5. This being human is quite the challenge some days. You may well have started a new trend.
Doesn’t work with oatmeal. All my best to you. 🐞
