Haiku: Summer Light Show

Lightning zigzags flash
Lamp light shudders and goes dark
Midnight spectacle.

    One of my favorite things to do as I child was to go in my parents room – which happened to be a converted sun room – open all the curtains, and watch the lightning storms.

    Power outage. Ours was 4 hours. How long was yours?

    Ours was a brief flash while I was on my computer. Scary but no damage.
