Silence place I choose
Window open wide to world
Transports mind and heart.

Absent friendly noise
Hall outside apartment door
Quiet becomes a cage.

  1. Yes so true, quiet does become a cage, noise and people make things alive! nice haiku!

I feel you really are getting into the very marrow of being human with these Haikus. I enjoy them so much and they do often abruptly stop me still to consider and reread several times. Thank you.

Thanks for your comment on my Haikus. That is so lovely of you to say that I’m”getting into the very marrow of being human”. Often I have something to say about what is going on in my life but no thought of how to express it. I sit down to write and words come to the surface of my mind that translate my feelings into a Haiku. I am grateful.
