World comes a-calling
Diluting my solitude
Offering fresh breath.
Outside my window
Beyond tree and morning sky
Await poems to write.
World comes a-calling
Diluting my solitude
Offering fresh breath.
Outside my window
Beyond tree and morning sky
Await poems to write.

Nothing so certain in life but taxes, death and poetry 😉
That pushes death and taxes to a whole new realm. Poetry does make them more palatable.
Yes, this poem reminds me of tax season.
Good analogy. I hadn’t thought of that.
I love the way the world is calling with it’s poems to be written, sometimes we have to follow a story out into the world 🙂
I like your idea of following a story. I realize I don’t want to give up the view out my window. And I can see more than just the trees and the sky.
Oh yes and so glad you are writing them
Thanks, Lynn.
Have just come across your blog …..so glad I did ……adore your poetry lady …..and as a Mother of 2 boys going through divorce your words are both incredibly beautiful and wise ……Thankyou 🙂
Thanks for your lovely comment. I’m glad my words have meaning for you. I’m the mother of three sons who divorced their father twenty-five years ago. It was difficult but I’ve come out stronger and free. Best wishes to you. ❤
Best wishes to you too …..it makes me happy that you eventually came out stronger and free …..I can tell that from your poems:)
Thanks.
