Pale rose smudges sky
Faintest wash of blue background
Sets the morning stage.
Hot-pink streaks appear
Fingers spread across the sky
Pull drapes, welcome day.

Nice visuals… I like it.
Thanks, Janet.
Oh my, that’s lovely–and I’m kicking myself that I didn’t look out the window today, when I was awake uncharacteristically early. You describe this enviably well–I can see those fingers spread across the sky. Marvelous!
Thanks J for seeing the sky in my lines. I get up at 6 AM when the sky is still dark now that we are back on standard time.
I am frequently still up at 6 am, but heading to bed 🙂
I guess we pass like ships in the night.
Yes indeed we do–do you see me waving to you with poetic enthusiasm?!
I couldn’t miss your poetic enthusiasm. 🙂
Hahaha–lots of exuberance here, as a rule 🙂
Lovely way to greet the day xxx
Thanks. I also saw two or three stars and a sliver of moon even earlier.
This is so very lovely, I can see the picture in my mind!
Thanks for your comment, Lynz.
So beautiful!
Lovely!

Thanks, Heath. 🙂
Nice segway into pulling the drapes. Well done 🙂
Thanks for your affirming comment. 🙂
