Branches bare of leaves
Golden carpet covers earth
Tree offers new gift.
Before break of day
In the sky bright stars I see
Now green leaves are gone.

So lovely, and easy to visualize what you see. I’m trying not to panic about each newly bared branch…so silly, really.
Thanks. I was sad to see the leaves go until I discovered they had been hiding the stars.
lovely!
Thank you.
Beautiful concept and truths with this ~
I appreciate your comment. Thanks.
Loved the way you opened this piece, branches are of leaves. You set the tone with one line. I am happy I stumbled upon your blog.
Thank you for your perceptive comment, lonely author. I’m glad you stumbled onto my blog.
Me too. Keep writing.
Thanks for following my blog. Our “follows” crossed in the ether.

Cheers to your becoming a published author. 🙂
Lovely.
Thanks, Meredith.
Well, since my house is on a hill, the leave don’t block the stars and, now that they’ve nearly all fallen off the branches, they just hide the lawn, which I’d like to be able to see before it too dies.
I like the view from your house on a hill.
