Sometimes everything has to be enscribed across the heavens so you can find the one line already written inside you. Sometimes it takes a great sky to find that small, bright, and indescribable wedge of freedom in your own heart. David Whyte

Redemption Song: Alchemy

on July 24, 2015

Redemption is a lonely place.
A conqueror bearing scars
Thinking I’m not freed from past
It pulses round me still.

Sadness but no grief abounds
Tinges nights and days
Residue of what could not be
Lingers in my soul.

Let me count my golden coin
How I’ve paid my fare
With wounded heart wide open now
To share another’s pain.

I see a world of suffering
No one is immune
I know that breathes within us all
The power to forgive.
